Art Receptions at MWCA

There’s something special about experiencing art together.

Throughout the year, Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts hosts receptions celebrating the artists and exhibitions in our gallery. These relaxed, welcoming gatherings are a chance to enjoy the artwork, meet participating artists, connect with friends and neighbors, and celebrate the creativity in our community.

Everyone is welcome, and our gallery receptions are free to attend.

Beyond the Gallery: Tammie Sosebee at Lill Mill Lofts

Art has a way of making a beautiful space feel even more welcoming. From August through October, MWCA’s Beyond the Gallery program is delighted to feature the artwork of Tammie Sosebee at Lill Mill Lofts.

Tammie has loved making art since childhood. After retiring three years ago, she began painting in acrylics and watercolors. She sees her creativity as a gift and brings care and curiosity to every new painting.

“I have loved creating art since I was a little girl,” Tammie shares. “I consider my art a gift that I have been given, and I am working very hard to improve with every new painting.”
