Bottle Stopper class
January 16 from 10 – 2.
Drop in – class (no pre-registration required)!
Workshops start on the hour at 10, 11, 12, and 1:00.
Students will turn their own wine bottle stopper after a brief intro to the lathe and safety by expert wood turner Todd Tetterton. Intro level class for ages 16+. Class is held in one of our upstairs classrooms. Fee: $20 includes a wood blank, metal insert and all other materials needed to create and finish a beautiful and unique stopper. Pay at the front desk on 1/16.
Pottery Workshop for all ages - Hand-built mug!

Make a hand-built mug with our pottery instructor, Rebecca Braswell. As part of our "Soiree", this is a drop-in workshop - no need to pre-register.
A fun workshop for all ages - children will need a little help from a parent!
Drop in on the hour at 11, 12, 1 or 2:00. The example shown was hand-built (not wheel thrown) and has not yet been glazed and fired. We have lots of stamps available to make a mug of your own design!
Fee: $20 per mug. Mug will be fired and ready in two weeks.

Volunteer Orientation is held this first Saturday of each month at 1:00 pm. If you cannot make it during that time, we are happy to accommodate your schedule for this brief introduction (about 45 minutes) to MWCA and ways you can help.
