Walton Writers hosts three on-going events here at MWCA, especially geared toward writers -- from budding writers to published authors. These meetings are free and open to the public. Joining Walton Writers Facebook group is recommended to help you stay up-to-date on their meetings and workshops.
Hosted by our Literary Arts Chair, Walton Writers founder and published author Barbara Barth. SUNDAY WRITE-IN: Every Sunday from 1:30 - 4:30 pm. This FREE Creative Gathering is open to anyone interested in writing. Feel free to drop in Sundays anytime between 1:30 - 4:30 to write in a supportive environment or chat with others about writing - hosted by writer, Barbara Barth. Bring a snack and drink if you'd like! FIRST THURSDAY WALTON WRITERS MEETING: Meetings hosted through ZOOM online. Meets every first Thursday (of most months) from 6 - 8 pm. Topics and speakers vary from month-to-month. In November and December they will have a different meeting schedule due to city of Monroe events on the usual meeting nights. Southern Sisters in Crime Writers Group meets the last Sunday of every month (except November-December) at 3:00
They are members of the National Sisters in Crime. You do not have to be a mystery writer to join, just enjoy the genre. SCRIBBLERS Christian Writers Club Friday, March 17, the Scribblers Christian Writers Club (www.scribblersweb.com) will have their first meeting at MWCA at 11:30 am. They will meet the third Friday of each month.To be a regular participant, you must be a Scribblers Member, but you may visit one time to see if the group is a good fit for you.
