Helen's Horse
🌿 A Lasting Tribute to a Beloved Teacher 🌿
If you’ve visited our garden, you may have paused to admire the striking horse sculpture. What you may not know is the beautiful story behind it.
This sculpture was lovingly created by the art students of Helen Thompson at Loganville High School, where she inspired creativity and passion for 28 years. It once stood proudly outside her classroom — a symbol of the joy and imagination she sparked in generations of students.
When Helen passed away, her family and former students chose to honor her legacy by gifting the sculpture to us. Now, it resides in our garden — a place she would have loved, as she was an avid gardener — standing as a touching tribute to a gifted teacher, a cherished friend, and a guiding light in the lives of so many young artists.
Helen’s spirit lives on here — in every brushstroke, every bloom, and every student encouraged to create. 💛
