1 -- GUILD MEETING
Saturday, Feb. 19 at 2pm DIGITAL ART: An Introduction Our first Guild meeting in over two years! Digital Art is a new concept to many of us. What is it? How is it done? What software and hardware do you use? Join us as two digital artists, Carlee Wooddell and Elise Hoffman, discuss this exciting media and answer your questions. They will also share a brief demonstration. This meeting is open to any current MWCA member and is free for members to attend. Guild meetings are opportunities for artists to come together to share and learn from each other. See YOU Saturday for a time of fellowship and learning! We're looking at PLEIN AIR PAINTING as our April topic as we gear up for the Garden Tour on May 14! Fun! Juli Tredwell is our new Guild Chair. Many thanks to her for pulling these important meetings together for us!! *** 2 -- Check out our classes here: https://www.monroewaltonarts.org/classes--events.html This weekend alone we are offering Pottery, Tai Chi, Sip and Paint, our guild meeting, Journaling and Sunday Write-In. 60+ classes every month!! Read about our upcoming shows here: https://www.monroewaltonarts.org/call-for-entries.html *** 4 -- GARDEN TOUR -- MAY 14 We're bringing back our most popular event and fundraiser! Volunteers are needed and you will be hearing from our new board member, Lori Volk - our new Volunteer Chair. We're also looking forward to bringing back the CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR this year. Volunteers to serve on the planning committee are needed NOW!! Please help us - many hands make light work! Would you like to help with either (or both!) of these fun events? Let me know! Garden and Christmas volunteers are especially needed to serve as docents in each garden and home. As with last year - volunteers get a FREE ticket to the Tour. Docents will work half of the time and can go on the Tour for the remainder of the time. It's a great way to get involved and help us out with these crucial fund-raisers. *** 5 -- BUSINESS SPONSORS Do you own or work for a local business? Business Sponsors are featured in our Social Media and our website and are listed in EVERY newsletter. Be an important and positive part of supporting local arts by sponsoring us. More information can be found here: https://www.monroewaltonarts.org/join--support-mwca.html * HELP! Respond to this email if you'd like to help our new board members with their tasks: Gallery, Guild or Volunteer and I'll forward your email to the correct person. THANKS!! We had such a wonderful time on Saturday 2/12 at the SOUPer Bowl Saturday event! So many thanks to all who had a part in this - volunteering to greet and serve and also many great home cooks who brought in chili, soup and desserts!! Y'all are the best!
