Hello and Merry Christmas, dear friends!
A little news for members only!

POTLUCK and PARADE
Thursday, Dec 8 -- POTLUCK at 5:30
All of our members are invited to our annual "POTLUCK & PARADE" before the parade at 5:30 - then join us to watch the parade at 6:30.  Bring your favorite Christmas finger food (appetizers, desserts, etc.)!  See you there!  We'll be open for shopping, too!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Kick-off your holiday celebrations with us at the Downtown Monroe 69th annual Christmas Parade....."A Hollywood Christmas, Monroe Goes to the Movies!"  It's a night you do not want to miss!

MEMBERS SHOW JANUARY 2023
Why should you enter local art shows like ours?
For opportunities to:

• Display your artwork to the public
• Sell your artwork.  If you are not entering our shows, you are missing a prime opportunity to sell your work as we consistently sell more 2D art in each new show.  We sold 21 pieces in the latest Members Show and 60+ pieces in The Tiny Art Show.
• Show support for your local art gallery
• Be a part of and support a larger community of artists
• Challenge yourself and stretch your abilities

MEMBERS SHOW
Members' Shows are an open call to all MWCA members -- it's your chance to show off your talent and artistry!  We encourage all our members in good standing to plan for our annual Members' Show. 
All members, regardless of experience or expertise are encouraged to enter our Members' Show.  It's a benefit of membership and a great opportunity to support your local art center, plus have your works on display and for sale in our Gallery!  This exhibit is also open to Youth (ages 10 - 17 ).
Our MWCA Members' Show presents all our members' works: experienced, even professional artists' works, emerging artists and novices alike in a single show, highlighting our commitment to fostering a community of support for artists of all levels. All works accepted as long as they meet our guidelines.

• Drop off: January 6 - 7, 2023 from 11am-5pm (there is NO pre-submission process, just bring your works Jan 6-7.  We'll even have the forms handy - easy!!)
• Installation: January 9 - 10 (would you like to volunteer to help?)
• Show opens January 11
• Awards Wine & Cheese Reception: January 20
• Last day: February 16
• Art pick up: February 17 - 18
• Judge: Margaret Warfield

IN THE GALLERY
The Christmas Gift Show is open through December 24. You'll be amazed at the hundreds of lovely, unique and affordable gifts available -- ALL made by our local artist-members.  Support local artists!  Bring your friends and family!  Be sure to shop our Giving Tree - your purchases support our special needs classes.

MISTLETOE IN MONROE CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HOMES -- DEC 10 -- SOLD OUT
If you've pre-purchased your tickets - yay - because we are SOLD OUT.  We are looking forward to planning the 2023 Tour!
Visit the art center between now and December 10 to pick up your Guide/Ticket if you've already pre-purchased..

Candlelight shopping (a city-wide event) every Thursday in December from 5 - 8 pm.
