IN THE GALLERY
The Christmas Gift Show will start installing Sunday, October 23 through Friday October 28 - but we WILL BE OPEN during that time. Feel free to drop in and get a preview and do some early shopping! The Shop officially opens October 29 - next Saturday. You'll be amazed and the lovely, unique and affordable gifts available -- ALL made by our local artist-members. Support local artists!
Our entire gallery will be transformed into a Christmas Shop - hundreds of gifts, most under $35.
We will have a Christmas Open House Saturday, November 5 from 3 - 7 pm. Join us for seasonal refreshments, some raffles and meet many of the artists in the shop.
IN THE SHOP
Our new SHOP COMMITTEE has been working hard to re-imagine the shop and decorate - I can't wait to see what they do on Wed., Oct 26 to deck the halls! :-)
LIGHT UP THE NIGHT & Candlelight shopping (a city-wide event) begins Thursday, November 3 from 5 - 8 pm. We will be open Thursday evenings in Nov and Dec from 5 - 8 pm.
The book nook has been totally refreshed and we're getting ready to have some exciting events there, too -- kicking off with a book signing by our own Literary Arts Chair, Barbara Barth signing her new Christmas novella, A Wingman for Christmas -- Sunday, Nov 6 from 1:30-4:30. Barbara is donating ALL SALES back to the Art Center - THANKS, Barbara!!

NOVEMBER 12 - SATURDAY SOIREE AND BBQ FUNDRAISER
Help is needed!
We will have a Soiree with fun drop-in workshops and also our much-requested BBQ fundraiser is back! We have some excellent cooks here!!
The fundraiser is for the pottery studio to buy some much-needed equipment (air cleaners and vented hoods and brackets) -- about $3,000 is needed.
Please support your local arts center by buying a BBQ plate and baked goods ... and help is needed too, to prepare foods.

2021 IMPACT REPORT
Why support MWCA? What do we do? What are our goals and accomplishments? I think you'll be impressed with our eight-page summary of 2021 produced by our president, Laura Templeton. It's attractive, easy-to-read and very compelling! You can view it online here:https://midd.me/TZSc
and print it out, if you like. Or drop by the Center for a copy.
Thanks again for your support - donations, attending our events and classes, shopping with us, volunteering, participating in our shows, being our ambassador in the community and spreading the word for us! EASY way to help -- "like" and share our social media posts! This helps more than you know! Art for all!!
See you soon!
Hope Reese, director of Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts since February, 2017.
