NOVEMBER 12 - SATURDAY SOIREE AND BBQ FUNDRAISER Saturday Soirees are our monthly family fun days! Drop in and try something new! See photos HERE POTTERY PROJECT with Rebecca -- make a Christmas tree Drop-in from 11am - 3pm All ages $20 for the first one; $15 each for any subsequent ones. Choice of three glazes: white, blue or green and your tree will be ready in two weeks. Reindeer ornament workshop with Kamden and GraciAnn Drop in from 10 - 3. All ages. $8 Make two, take one pottery ANGEL ornament with Rebecca -- you'll take one home in two weeks when they are glazed & fired; and donate one to our GIVING TREE to raise funds for our Special Needs classes. All ages $15 AND it’s our BBQ plate fundraiser day for the pottery studio! Buy a plate with ALL the fixins' in a to-go container for $12. We start selling at 11 am - until we sell out so hurry in!! The fundraiser is for the pottery studio to buy some much-needed equipment (air cleaners and vented hoods and brackets) -- about $3,000 is needed. Please support your local arts center by attending the Soiree, taking a workshop or two, browsing the Shop AND buying a BBQ plate and baked goods!! Members' Shows are an open call to all MWCA members -- it's your chance to show off your talent and artistry! We encourage all our members in good standing to plan for our annual Members' Show. All members, regardless of experience or expertise are encouraged to enter our Members' Show. It's a benefit of membership and a great opportunity to support your local art center, plus have your works on display and for sale in our Gallery! This exhibit is also open to Youth (ages 10 - 17 ). Our MWCA Members' Show presents all our members' works: experienced, even professional artists' works, emerging artists and novices alike in a single show, highlighting our commitment to fostering a community of support for artists of all levels. All works accepted as long as they meet our guidelines.
*** IN THE GALLERY The Christmas Gift Show is open through December 24. You'll be amazed at the hundreds of lovely, unique and affordable gifts available -- ALL made by our local artist-members. Support local artists! Bring your friends and family! *** MISTLETOE IN MONROE CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HOMES -- DEC 10 Tickets are selling FAST!!!! Based on our sales just in this first month, I expect we will sell out - as we've already sold over 3/4 of the tickets available! Drop by the Center to buy or you can purchase online. We MAY NOT have tickets available for walk-up buyers on Dec 10. IN THE SHOP Candlelight shopping (a city-wide event) every Thursday in November and December from 5 - 8 pm. We'll be closed Thanksgiving Day, of course. BOOK NOOK The book nook looks so awesome and inviting! We've had several new authors join in the last few weeks - please don't miss this area when you visit.
