Hello friends!
I don't usually send out two MEMBERS MEMOS in a month, but aren't you lucky? :-) Here's a second brief update and a small plea... There's A LOT going on Saturday with Monroe Blooms on 6/18. There will be vendors at the Farmers' Market and of course all the awesome shopping downtown. BUT... PLEASE don't forget about us in all the rush ... Our artists and makers will be setting up outside the art center to sell their works and our teachers will be holding some fabulous drop-in workshops ... SO here's my plea - will you stop by the art center FIRST (or as soon as you can) and check out the awesome workshops, art, jewelry, pottery, home decor, gifts, plants and MORE that we offer? ALL made by our members - with skill and love. Our artists and makers could have set up with the city farmers' market (for a fee of course) in a more central, some would say better location -- but they choose to support MWCA in trying (it takes a VILLAGE!) to make this place a vibrant and interesting place to visit and shop. I can't emphasize enough how much this means to MWCA. Loyalty. It means a lot to me, personally, and it's one of the things that make this precious place work -- our loyal members, customers, students and artist/makers who are all ambassadors for our little non-profit community art center. We wouldn't be here without you all. So please, don't forget about us -- the workshops, pop-up shops outside, the gift shop inside and the Tiny Art Show. I know you'll find at least a couple of things you'll love. Tell your friends. BRING your friends. By the way ... Social Media -- Please share our Facebook posts. Review us on Facebook and tag us @monroewaltonarts - if you make your post public, I can share it. This social media presence helps more than you can imagine. 90% of your purchase price goes directly to the artist during these pop-up events and Soiree Workshops; 10% helps to support your local non-profit community arts here at Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts! We truly appreciate our artists who are setting up outside the center on this promising to be super hot day on June 18! Please show them some love! Please come by and browse - from:
