Saturday, APRIL 29 - BBQ FUNDRAISER
from 11:30 until we sell out!
Our much-requested BBQ fundraiser is back! We have some excellent cooks here!!
The fundraiser is for our gallery, shop, pottery studio and classrooms -- a number one priority is to buy and install new security cameras. We also need new chairs and easels. The BBQ plate includes a sandwich, cole slaw, chips and a cookie/brownie for $9.
Please support your local arts center by buying a BBQ plate and baked goods ... and help is needed too, to prepare foods.
If you'd like to help out, please follow THIS LINK.
THANK YOU for ALL the ways you love us and support local arts!!!
MONROE BLOOMS & POP UP ARTISTS' MARKET
We have TWO main opportunities for our members who are artists/artisans/makers to sell directly to the public via a POP UP SHOP:
Monroe Blooms and Fall Fest
Our next really big event for market artists is ...
MONROE BLOOMS/Saturday Soiree -- May 20 from 9am - 2pm (these are the hours of the city event)
This year, you must pay $15 by May 18 to reserve your spot > HERE or visit the art center to pay.
You will collect your own money and handle your customers for 10% of your sales – paid to MWCA at the end of the day – with a cap of $50 (for a total of $65 paid to us). You must already be an artist in our Shop to have a pop-up shop.
On May 20 - you will set up a table and/or tent outside. Be ready by 9 am as the city has set the hours from 9am - 2pm. First come, first served - you can be in the grassy areas but don't block sidewalks. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to direct you; please follow their instructions. I don't assign spots.
PLEASE NOTE >>> The area under the tree on the corner is RESERVED for our own fundraisers!!
Space is limited so sign up soon!
We will consider allowing those not already in the Shop into the pop up market at Blooms -- you must be a member of course, and your work will have to be juried into Blooms. Email photos of sample works by responding to this email.
CURRENTLY IN THE GALLERY: High School Student Art Show
This show is open through May 18.
You're invited to the closing reception to honor the artists on May 18 from 6-7:30pm.
If you're interested in volunteering, please email our volunteer chair, Lori Volk: Sunshine01310@gmail.com

YOU are appreciated! We would not be the vibrant, involved and interesting community arts center that we are without your support in so many ways.
I'd like to end by sharing our ....
To support local artists, writers, and musicians and to create a thriving arts community by providing opportunities to experience art through a local artist market as well as gallery shows, classes, workshops, and special events.
To create a transformational arts community that promotes "Art for All" by delivering the aesthetic and healing benefits of the arts
