Hello to all you fabulous MWCA Members!
Here are a few quick updates! But first, we invite your feedback, ideas, questions -- https://form.jotform.com/240828199111053 -- Here's YOUR opportunity to let us know how we're doing! (Good or bad!) If you have a complaint or something you don't understand ... write it down! If you have a "you're doing great!" comment, we'd love to see those as well. You can remain anonymous or share your info - up to you. We'd love to hear what we're doing RIGHT of course, but there's always room for improvement. ... AND ... Have you taken a class with us? We'd love your feedback -- https://form.jotform.com/240828115177053 These forms are QUICK and EASY and we'd love to hear from you! 1 -- MEMBERS MORNING MINGLE Saturday, June 8 at 10:00am Come enjoy coffee, light snacks & most importantly fellowship! We will make tutus (easy craft project) with tulle and all supplies provided by Barbara Mock of Tutu Capers. A fun and meaningful project as tutus are delivered to area children's hospitals, and fits in so well with our "healing arts" initiatives. Barbara says, "Tutu Capers' goal is to bring a smile and some "super power" into children's lives." Contact Kamden if you have a suggestion/idea for the Mingles: [email protected] 2 -- MONROE BLOOMS Here at MWCA we will host pop-up shops and workshops plus a fundraising hotdog plate - to raise funds for the pottery studio! Our oldest kiln is 25+ years old and needs replacing. We need to raise $7,000 to complete our funds for a new kiln.
Pottery garden stake flower - drop in from 11-3 to make a garden stake with Rebecca. All ages. Will be glazed, fired and ready in two weeks. $25 SCAVENGER HUNT! Find one (one per family please!) of the 60 clear "eggs" hidden around town with a ticket inside and return it to the Art Center for a free hand-made pottery leaf trinket dish, made by our pottery instructor Rebecca Braswell and her students. 3 -- VOLUNTEER! (please) INTRODUCING OUR NEW VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR!! Robbin Moore has been a member of the Arts Center for several years. She has supported us in many ways through the years: by volunteering, she has items in our Shop, shops here and attends many events. She notes that after volunteering for the Garden Tour, she got a glimpse at how much we have to do and realized she could help out a little more, so she has stepped up to help coordinate volunteers. If you are on our volunteer list, you should have already gotten a couple of emails from Robbin. She is very organized and her goal is to alert volunteers EARLY (the month before, as much as possible) of volunteer needs. Of course, you are not obligated. Just help out when you can! If you'd like to be added to Robbin's volunteer list to receive her emails, please feel free to email her at [email protected]. *** YOU are appreciated! We would not be the vibrant, involved and interesting community arts center that we are without your support in so many ways. See you soon! Art for all! Hope
